CTHM is an award winning young architecture and design collective, established in 2012 by Christopher Taylor, Timothy Hare and Harry Molyneux. We see the potential in each project as the result of a multitude of complex cultural, spatial and temporal variables that we articulate through ordered structural and unexpected material choices.
The practice has won a series of recent competitions notably BD’s Small Hotel Room, as well as coming runners up in ‘Flitched’ the Upcycler’s caravanserai for Canning Town.
We are also fascinated with arts ability to capture and reciprocate natural, cultural and social phenomena. A recent art installation at Secret Garden Party sought to highlight the devolution processes that take place at festivals. From a state of order to disorder over a manic 4/5 days, 50,000 sunflowers were etched by the hundreds and thousands of footsteps leaving an ephemeral imprint on a place, like footprints in the snow.
